Question:
Whenever I try to generate an invoice or receipt, an automation error occurs. How can I resolve this?

Answer:
If you have Norton AntiVirus installed on your computer, this may be causing the error. This software package includes a virus scanning plug-in which scans Microsoft® Word documents for virus infections before they are opened. This can conflict with the ARCHEION Stock Book application when it tries to open a Word document to ceate an invoice or receipt.

To resolve this problem, you should disable the plug-in. To find out how to do this, open the following knowledge base article in the Symantec technical support website:

Even though the resolution described here turns off the Microsoft® Office virus scanning plug-in, the Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect feature should still provide ongoing protection by scanning any file that is run, downloaded, opened, created, or deleted.
